I'm obsessed with this and I want to share with you so you can be obsessed with me too!
It's the perfect sandwich for lunch, and it has tons of flavor!
When I went dairy free years ago, I was scared to give up cheese, because I loved it SO much. But I've found some yummy alternatives that satisfy my cravings! I haven't really tried dairy free cream cheese because to be honest, sometimes dairy free items are EXPENSIVE. And while i don't normally eat a lot of cream cheese, I didn't want to buy it, hate it, and waste money in the meantime. But since i saw this recipe on another blog and HAD to try it, i ran right out and got it!
I used a DF chive cheese wheel instead, and it worked just fine and it tasted so good! I trusted this brand because I've had their sun dried tomato cheese wheel before and liked it, and it was the only DF alternative the store had lol!
But it tastes so good, i want to eat it with all the things! I plan to do more posts about my dairy free life. If you'd love for me to do a post on a specific topic, let me know! I'm open to everything you all want to hear about : ) Being dairy free is a personal choice, not because i'm allergic, but I have found some helpful things along my journey to being dairy free!
Anyway, back to this bagelwich...
It's so simple, but packed with so much flavor!
THE BREAD
I really do try and stay away from bagels in general because well bread is my weakness. It's true if you keep it out of your kitchen, it's easier! But we're human and we have cravings so I try to go with healthier alternatives with all my food.
I usually do a gluten free bread in general (like ezekiel or sprouted) but for this lunch, I knew it had to be an everything bagel. I love the brand Dave's killer bread, and i use that brand to feel my family. So I got the Epic Everything bagel from Dave's Killer Bread.
THE VEGGIES
Simple, but it all goes together! A slice of tomato, some sliced avocado and some fresh chopped basil sprinkled on top. Again, simple, but it's a perfect combo!
I already talked about the cream cheese I used above, but honestly i'm sure any will do. If you're not dairy free, then any cream cheese of your choice would do! But dairy free or not, get one that is like a chive/herb blend.
Enough about this sandwich, go make one for yourself ; )
