Man oh man did I need a cleanse. My body was screaming for it after my last trip to Napa. Good food and wine did a number on it lol. Although I don't regret enjoying myself and indulging, I knew in the back of my mind I would be paying for it later and have to work hard to get rid of it.
The day I got back I did an impromptu 3 day refresh.
This was the second time I've done one, and both times worked well for me! The first time was back in May. I lost 5 lbs and felt great afterwards!
After 2 vacations to Cali recently however, I was getting lax on my nutrition and just felt bleh.
This time around I lost the weight I had put on this past month or so, and DE BLOATED. Just feeling the bloat be gone was a reward in itself. My body felt amazing and my little abs peeked through again!
What is a 3 day refresh you ask? Well let me tell you. It's a cleanse that includes shakes and fruit (mostly veggies and some fruit and healthy fats). You need to drink TONS of water as well, and youa are allowed tea. For me personally, it actually keeps me full during the day, and at night I did tend to get a bit hungry. But lets's be honest, it's only 3 days and a short term sacrifice.
It's super easy to follow, the plan is written out step by step for you. No coffee though so if you're a big coffee drinker, that may be a bit of a task for you.
I'm really bad about taking before and after pics and documenting through pictures along the way but did manage to take a picture of one of my lunches! (The shakes are actually pretty filling).
Plus it really did kickstart me back into honing in on my nutrition again. REMEMBER, 80% of your fitness is nutrition! How crazy is that! They're not kidding when they say abs are made in the kitchen!
